Circular No. 46.

General Orders Amendment No. 9.

The following amendment is hereby made in General Orders :-

The following is inserted after General Order 276:—

"276A. Money required by a Head of Department for distribution after the relevant paylists have been duly examined will be issued from the Treasury to a Subordinate Officer authorised in the following form:

'appears below is authorised to collect cheques from the Treasury "in favour of this Department until further notice.

"Head of Department.

Funds issued to a Head of Department by the Treasury must be disbursed immediately and the receipted vouchers returned to Treasury within 12 days.

Any balance remaining unpaid at the end of that period must be refunded at once to the Treasury. All such refunds will be credited by the Treasury to the subheads of expenditure originally debited. Departmental Vote Service Ledger should be correspondingly dealt with.
